What are the most common scams in Spain to be aware of?

I have no clue either. If you can't be specific, why mention it?.

Venice drying up?

I know it might sound superficial, but this is part of the venice charm....

What's your favorite European city?

My favourite would be London :D.

what about Greece

You have already been warned about advertising on here. Please don't do it. Aaron.

Running With The Bulls

Hi there. Ya, I ran with the bulls a few years back. The festival in Pamplona is incredible, the people so friendly, and it seems everyone is there to have a really good time. The run takes place in each morning and last only a few minutes, but it can be VERY dangerous, especially if you have not done your research (i.e. talk to those who have run before, know the course, identify hiding spots, know where the railings are to climb out etc.) I wrote this article, which has some photos of the run and helpful tips on how to survive it. http://www.doctordanger.com/other/otherEventPamplo1.html Also see http://www.sanfermin.com/index_eng.html which is an excellent site. Accommodation in the town centre usually books up a year in advance. Some rough it and sleep in the park, some sleep during the afternoon and party all night! Sleep depravation and drink can be your worst enemy.

Lanzarote good for Asthma!

Sandy... given that you are advertising villas in this location, this reads like a thinly veiled ad to me, so I have removed the villa name and your sig from the post. Aaron.

Santander - any tips ?

Hi All, I'm moving to Satander for a few months from late December. Not the best time of year weather wise, but any tips on the city and the area ? Thanks..

Island of Malta

I must say that when I was in Malta I had totally no problems with communication. Maltese sounds at first a little bit like Arabic, but it took a lot from Italian and English. I was surprise, because people spoke English not only in hotels or tourist places, but even if I asked middle-aged people in teh street, they would be able to communicate perfectly in that language. Valletta is great, and Gozo is also beautiful. It seems in Malta taht everything is sooo close... just sometimes the time spent on the journey depends on how good teh connection is. It seems that teh locals prefer to travel by cars....

Xmas plans?

I myself will spend it with a family. I also love hot weather but somehow I don't mind snow on Christmas - on the contrary: I love it! Many people in Poland spend this time in the mountains (like Zakopane - in the Tatra mountains, south of Poland) nearby the fireplace. This is a very nice idea! But even when the city gets embellished with lights, Christmas trees, Christmas Markets etc. it all creates a unique atmosphere. In Krakow, where I live, there has already been opened the Christmas Market. One can buy traditional meals on the square, presents, grilled smoked cheese or hot wine... and have a walk at cosy narrow streets decorated for Christmas... OR sit in a cosy cafe by the window and watch the people who prepare for Christmas:).

recomend a european city. please!

I would agree with Paul:) Krakow is great to visit. And if you still want to visit Prague during the same trip, there are direct trains Krakow-Prague. Anyway, I would say those 2 cities have a lot in common. At least the ambience I find very similar. But while Prague is bigger (more places to see but also sometimes too packed with tourists), Krakow is smaller and cosier (but still a lot of things going on). There is rich nightlife - and a lot of history (when making the trips around Krakow and a little bit outside). I honestly recommend the place:).

Did anyone see the newspaper today about Benidorm

I agree this is being taken out of context. The reality is that Benidorm is a very busy place and the local town hall simply want to keep it looking clean for the enjoyment of other tourists. My understanding is that the cleaners have been abused and in a couple of cases attacked by drunken louts in the wee hours, so this ordinance gives them the ability to call the police and feel protected while they're doing their job..

Norway

I'm surprised china guy that if you run an internet site -- particularly one geared toward travel -- that you'd have to ask a question that is easy to get the answer to. Try looking at Scandinavian Airlines. They fly to Beijing..

Collioure

I LOVE COLLIURE!!! Machado's tomb is over there! I love that town. It is one of my favourite! I was there 8 years ago, you can imagine!! But i fel in love with it! I keep good memories of that place. It is wonderful... :P.
